Spyros Manesis: Piano
Born in Athens in 1978. In the 80’s he lived in Zakynthos Island where he took his first piano lessons.
Later he studied at the Musicology Department of the University of Athens and jazz piano in Athenaeum Conservatory with George Kontrafouris and Sylvios Syrros and classical piano with Marianna Aivazova.
He continued his studies in Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Karel Boehlee, Hans Vroomans, Kriss Goessens and Rob van Bavel.
He has participated in various jazz, latin and funk bands based in Greece and Holland, toured around Europe performing in countries such as Cyprus, Holland, Germany, Portugal, United States and China and taught music theory and piano at Athenaeum Conservatory.
On 2003 he worked as piano player in the stage of Medea of Euripides, a production of the National Theatre of Greece. He lives in Amsterdam where he is an active member of the local musical scene, participating in various projects.
