Petros Klampanis: Double bass, loops
Born on July 1981 in Zakynthos, Greece, where he had his first piano and music-theory lessons. He also started playing electric bass and being member of local pop and rock bands.
While studying at the musicology department of the Athens University he took lessons with many important Greek musicians, and played with some of the finest Greek jazz artists. He has taken part in various musical projects (Athens Big Band) and played in numerous venues in Greece.
He lived in Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2005-2007) where he attended the Bachelor of Music course at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He played and toured in the country and abroad and participated in major European jazz festivals.
He currently lives in New York where he recently took his Master of Performance from the Aaron Copland school of Music. In NYC he has been performing regularly with fine jazz artists, such as: Paul Bollenback, Ron Affif, Yotam Silbertein, Christos Rafalides, Bodek Janke etc.
