Cesar Latorre: Piano, keyboards
Born in Gijon, Spain, in 1979. At the age of five he starts classical piano studies at the Conservatory of Gijon, where he takes lessons with Roberto Mendez. After finishing the “Medium Degree on Classical piano” he takes lessons from Purita de la Riva with whom he finishes the “High Degree on Classical Piano” at the Conservatory of Oviedo. At the age of 21 he moves to The Netherlands to study jazz piano at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, The Netherlands, were he studied with Karel Boehlee, Rob van Bavel, Kriss Goesens and Hans Vroomans.
In 2007 he took lessons from Hal Galper at Purchase College of New York. During this period he took private lessons with Jason Moran and Ethan Iverson.
He has recorded ten CDs of different styles (jazz, world music, pop and rock) and performed at very important dutch concert halls like Het Concertgebouw, Het Muziekgebouw, Heineken Hall and the Bimhuis in the Netherlands.
With CLTrio he has performed in Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Greece, Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands.
